About

StoryMapping

storymapping is meant as a call to action.

An integration of location and media for social justice.

Whether it is geo-tagging images on Flickr, building story-based GoogleMaps, developing Windows Live virtual tours, organizing local cell phone walking tours, or permanently embedding stories into locations to be received by Bluetooth and other wireless tools, we can now create maps that share stories about the places that matter to us, and place our life stories in countless geographic contexts.

StoryMapping is a project of StoryCenter. It holds the archival material from the 2005 – 2009 project of our founder-director Joe Lambert, as well as the new projects growing out of the new Stories-in-Motion Workshop.
